Client: Harborview Medical Center / EthnoMed
The patient is encouraged to take control of their symptoms.
The roadway can easily be modified in the presentation software with any or none of the signs, as determined by the presenter. It also has versions with text and graphics in other languages.
Older patients are encouraged to exercise.
The ask:
A nurse at Harborview Medical Center working with EthnoMed requested a toolkit to help with an education program for patients with diabetes. She wanted to visually present the stages of the disease as a road trip, with the patient taking control as the driver.
My process:
While the images were part of a cohesive presentation, they also needed to stand alone occasionally; they would most often be used off-site in PowerPoint. I provided backgrounds, along with suggested positions for the stand-alone images, but she could customize these placements as needed. I made the toolkit starting with sketches and used Illustrator for the final.
Results:
Images were integrated into the client's education materials.
