Ophthalmology Teaching Aids

The ask:

UW ophthalmologists asked me to recreate a sample illustration of a retina similar to one used by another organization. 

My process:

This project went through multiple rounds involving communication between me, my project manager, and our clients, and a single illustration became three in the end. The three pieces include a vector chart of an everted eyelid, a retina with numeral staging, and another simple close-up of the retina itself. 

Results:

The retina art combines Photoshop painting and overlay for the notches and numerals, while the everted eyelid is vector artwork created in Illustrator.
