Transmission Delivery

The ask:

UW OB/GYN clients were preparing a paper for submission on viral transmission during birth. They had generated much of the art using the BioRender service, but they needed an illustration that could not be created that way. They requested an illustration showing a live birth, using a graphic style that would not clash with the BioRender images. 

My process:

I created a flat illustration in Illustrator, then sampled colors from other images to keep it stylistically similar.
