Cardiogenetic Figures

The ask:

Cardiologists in the UW School of Medicine needed figures to illustrate a grant proposal. Figure 1 (first row of five above) shows the root problem of aortic aneurysm, likely impacts, and the surgical pathways and implant solution. Figure 2 was mostly reworked images needed based on the client mockup.

My process:

The client provided the figure outline and content, along with some reference images and a general discussion of their needs. The greatest challenge was to show both the exterior and interior of the implant to define it clearly and accurately represent what it would look like in position after surgery.
